Taekwondo

Rahul Rabindran has been practicing Taekwondo since the age of 6 and he’s now a black belt 1st degree Dan holder. He has been actively training under the pupilage of Senior Master AVS Bathi Allimuthu at Xtreme Martial Arts. He will be participating in the Under 13 category for team pattern event and individual sparring event. Prior to this World Championship, Rahul has participated in two national events :

  • December 2017, he was the U13 Champion in the SEN Masters Malaysia Junior Championship tournament. He won 2 Gold Medals in Sparring and Pattern events.
  • March 2017, he has participated in CHITF Asian Invitational Taekwondo Championship held in Kuala Lumpur.
  • Upcoming National Event – Malaysian Open Taekwondo Championship. April 2019.

We are proud to be sponsoring Rahul for the event to represent Malaysia. Rahul and the Malaysian contingent, which consists of participants from the age of 10 to 40, will be representing CHITF Malaysia. The upcoming event in Australia will be the inaugural CHITF World Championship. There will be approximately 300 participants from 20 countries participating in this very first CHITF World Championship.

This event will also be the world first Special Needs Participants Championship where participants with special needs will compete and demonstrate their skills and techniques in Taekwondo.
