The highly awaited concert of the year, Retro Rahman 2.0, is back again for the second consecutive year as a tribute to musical genius AR Rahman.
The concert will witness legendary musicians Mano, Srinivas, Harini, Sadhana Sargam, Sathyaprakash, Anil Srinivasan and others, join hands to relive AR Rahman’s magic.
Today, the Retro Rahman 2.0’s press conference was held at the Istana Hotel by Mojo Projects in the presence of the musicians and media – hosted by Maaran and Sushmita.
The attendees got a glimpse of what they can witness at the concert when the singers took the stage to sing a few lines of their famous song, while Anil Srinivasan worked his magic on the piano. It was simply amazing to see the artists perform even though their rendition lasted for a very short time.
“We will ensure all your wishes come true. Besides the songs we perform on stage, we will also sing a few lines of the songs you wish to hear. Just make sure we hear your request,” promised singer Srinivas.
Last year, Mojo Projects witnessed a successful evening when their concert went sold out. However, some of the attendees got furious when they were stopped from recording short bytes for their social media handle.
“Each recording should not exceed 10 seconds; anything more than that will result in copyright infringement and we will again use the laser technique to blind the cameras. Feel free to take tons of pictures and tag us in your posts,” clarified Mojo Project’s Producer Ratna K Nadarajan.
Besides answering questions regarding the upcoming concert, the evening further hosted a prize-giving ceremony for Astro Ulagam’s Retro Rahman 2.0 Giveaway Contest and Mukkala Mukkabala TikTok Challange winners – where the winners walked away with the show tickets and other great prizes.
Retro Rahman 2.0 will be happening on August 3rd, 7 PM at the Star Xpo Centre Kuala Lumpur. Get ready to relieve AR Rahman’s magic, Rahmaniacs!
